Points: 4,925.90 Donate | | | What Happened To My Camera? We all saw the slideshow images of Sony's plan for future firmware releases, a few months ago at the 2006 PlayStation Business Briefing. What happened? In September, the official first-party camera was supposed to be released, and now, in October, we are supposed to have GPS units on store shelves. Since the announcement of these plans, so far, we are at 2.81 firmware, and only have RSS audio, Flash, Chinese font, and GPS/camera library files.
Where is my camera?! There are several possibilities for these delays. They could just be lazy and decide to go off schedule, so as to tick-off the adept homebrewing scene (which is probably not the case). Something, (such as the new TIFF exploit), could have disturbed Sony's schedule, therefore causing them to dedicate more R&D time to patching firmwares for so-called security holes and/or looking out for flaws in the current firmware. Sony might have decided to hold off the new accessories till the holidays in order to boost sales (and steal sales from other next-gen consoles). Or they could be too busy with the PS3.
Whatever the case, Sony has been and is continuing to deviate (or procrastinate) from plans, which will ultimately haunt them in the future as both the consumer loses trust in their support for the console, as well as when the Q4 financial reports come around and sales aren't up to what shareholders thought they'd be. Oh well, still twiddling my thumbs here, waiting... waiting, for a camera. [Digg this story]

Personally I couldn't care less about the camera. A good idea would be to have a piece of homebrew or something which could connect directly to existing Sony Cameras through the USB cable, viewable through the Photo icon under the XMB.
Thats just my thoughts. |

Thats just my thoughts. | 1.3 is alot.
its the ISO and stuff that matters, and sony said that it would have really good ISO stuff.
a pic in 1.3mp can be alot better than a pic in 5mp.
alot of cameras has alot of mp to make ppl buy it, but they really suck |
