PSP IDE Interface In The Works!

paul4990 has announced his progress on a new project of his, titled PSPIDE. The project's goal is to produce an interface that permits the PSP and a hard drive to communicate with each other, therefore allowing the PSP to utilize a hard drive as a storage medium.

The developer stats that a WiFi card is used to transmit debug packets to his PC, and a USB connection is used to allow communication from the hard drive to the ms0 and ms1, however, doesn't state how the IDE actually communicates with the PSP just yet.

Furthermore, he claims that a public BETA is soon to be released. Could this just be yet another prank in the scene, or is his work truly golden? Whatever the case, this news definitely seems to be interesting, hopefully future updates will unfold with more information on the project.

Its not that hard to supply power for the IDE HardDrive, but its still kinda useless cuz you still have to be right next to the hard drive and you cant move it cuz of the power source.

Still very awesome, this would turn out to be kinda fun

Ya the concept of it is really cool but to me it makes no sense.

1) Youll need a power suply
-Imagine walking around with a big a$$ battery or however your gonna power it. That would look really retarded and youll ave people looking at you and thinking wow thats a weirdo and not to mention people suspecting you of being a terrorist trying to bomb something...lol...

2) The article says something about a WiFi card used to transmit debug packets to his PC
-to me this seems that youll have to have a connection to use it (*which is weird) If this is the case usbhost would be a better alternative. If im wrong please dont kill me just let me know..
3) Wouldnt it need some sort of os or something on the hd to store the info.... again if im wrong correct me......

***just simple my thoughts***
